For those of you that remember, my old boss is refusing to sign over my 401k to my new 401k at my new job. Welp Ive been trying to get it since July. My new 401k is performing better than my old one. I went to check my old one and it is down 60%!!!!!!!! If that money had been put in my new one it wouldnt be down as much. Im so angry right now. What a *******!

Wait a minute?? Your 401K is yours, if you move to another job, that is your money and goes with you. Why would your boss be holding it?? Who is the provider that the 401K is through? Also, if it's down 60%, that is not your boss that is what you have your money invested in. Now, what a company matches can be a different story, but the stocks and the market is the same wherever you go.

he is the issuer or something so he has to fill out the form for it to be transfered. He wont fill it out. I called the company where the 401k is and they said they cant transfer it without the issuer filling out the roll over form. Annoying! And I know stocks are not doing well in general right now, but my 401k with my new job is doing better than the one with my old job. So if it had been rolled over months ago, it would have been 60% moer money than what is in there now. So Im just frustrated. But It doesn't matter cus Im just gonna leave it there till I retire- no point in rolling it over now that it is mostly gone. I was just annoyed! LOL.

Since your boss won't let you sign over your old 401k, can you change what the money is invested in? Can you change it to something that is earning a little more than what you are getting now?
