So they finally have an idea of what could be wrong with me and the doctor put me on some pills that should help. Finally some relief to pain in sight. But no... now health insurance has to approve the medicine before I can take it. And it should be at least Friday before I can finally get my medicine. SERIOUSLY!!!! Why would a doctor prescribe me something if I didn't need it. Why should health insurance decide if I need it or not? Are they the ones doubled over in so much pain that there are days they can't get off the couch?

Is the medication ridiculously expensive? Could you maybe pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by the ins. co once they approve it. I had to do that in the past when the ins. co screwed up.

Sometimes the pharmacy will give you a few pills to hold you over until the insurance approval comes through. Antother options is to call your doctor and see if he has any samples he can give you.

I hear you on the meds. I pay over 300 for my meds and that is only for 12 pills....thank god the 12 last for a bit
