My Mexican Vacation

My Mexican Vacation

hey girls - back from Mexico for a couple days now ( ) but had a great time. I stayed at the Aventura Spa Palace in the Mayan Riviera and totally recommend it for anyone looking for an all-inclusive vacation.

The resort is very nice. Rooms are cozy with jacuzzi's for two and hammocks on the balcony. The service was wonderful. The food was pretty good too (6 restuarants). The crowd was good. A lot of Americans from all over the US and a good mix of couples in every age range. It is also adults only - which I never realized how much I loved. There were alot of honeymooners there too.

We sat back and relaxed. Eat, drink, tan. sleep late and play in the pool - perfect vacation. We had like 7 tours included in our pacakage but only did one - weren't looking for a touring type vacation.

Figured I'd mention it since it seems like a lot of people are looking for vacation ideas.

And the best nachos and guacamole!

looks beautiful! I want to plan something like that for my next trip. How long was the flight from NY? Was it really pricey or not so bad?

Paiz- an hour drive from Cancun - Mayan Riviera - near Playa de Carmen

shamma-I figured you guys would be sick of seeing our faces . I have to tell you we didn't take as great of pictures as we would have liked. How come when you take vacation pictures they all seem great and when you get them developed - they aren't as good as you thought? Let me see what I can do for you....

Here's a couple. They looked better before I uploaded them to shutterfly but are too big to post from file and I am too lazy to resize.

Us on our tour of the ancient city of Tellum

Here is us looking tan (couldn't wear my hair down there - way too humid for my frizzy moppy hair)

Pretending I am exercising or on Survivor playing on the obstacle course (we just posed on the course)

Re: My Mexican Vacation

Looks like a great time. I've been to Cancun 2x, and loved it, but would love to try one that isn't as college kid driven as Cancun has become. My binge drinking days are LONG OVER!

Re: My Mexican Vacation

Paiz- I have been to Cancun on spring break once and DH 2 times - about 10 years ago in college. This was a much different vacation!!! This was so not the same...there was no dancing on bars or stumbling home - we didn't even take a sip from the tequila on tap - made for a picture - that's about it!!! How life changes! We did have our share of Pina coladas and banana monkeys poolside!!!
