My mom is so mean!!!

Tonight I went out to dinnr with my parents. When they dropped me off I said goodbye as I was getting ou of the car my dad said oh we have some stuff for you.

I was excited thinking they bought me gifts. Turns out the stuff was all my stuff that was still in my old room and the garage. I like my stuff but I like it better at their house and not mine.

I left it all on the floor in the living room. I have no idea what to do with it. I am scared if what Bobby will say when he sees it. We watched an Oprah about a pack rat. Her house was taken over with stuff ever since that Bobby insists that we not have clutter or keep things just for the sake of keeping them.

Tomorrow my mom said she is bringing my porcelain dolls. I hate those freaky dolls I didn't even want them to start with. They have all been in their boxes since the day I was given them. What the heck am I supposed to do with them.

What did you do with all your old stuff?

If anyon wants some porcelain dolls I am opening a store in my basement.

I asked my mom how could you do this to me? She just laughed and said I would have fun putting it all away. That is not my idea of fun.

I went thru all our stuff and whatever we didnt want we either threw it away or brought it to the thrift store.

I know how you feel, I have so much stuff I can't part with & I don't know what to do with. I started to put some things aside to sell on Ebay but i just wound up throwing it out because it wasn't worth the aggrivation but if you have the time & patience, it could be a good option.

Hahahahaha, you got more time than I did....My parents moved all my stuff out of the house while I was on my honeymoon......lucky for me I am not big on saving things.....I love throwing things out!!

I love throwing stuff out too. We cleaned and set up our offie last week and I was so excited to see we filled a whole black bag with garbage. I love going throught the mail. I get a high over throwing out so many pennysavers.

I should be glad they moved it and didn't make me. I have serious issues with magazines I can't throw them out. I think I'm going to want to go back and read an article. I have back issues on a magazine from 1997 if anyone wants to know what was going on 11 years ago let me know.

I have no advice to offer because my old room at my parents house looks like i still live there!! My old bed, tv, vcr, stereo....photos...i guess my parents love me more than your parents do...hahaha (just kidding )

GOOD LUCK!!! I was just in a similiar situation - since I was moiving all my stuff down south my mom had me clean out my old room and everything from the attic and basement!! Tons of shiit- including tons of dolls! I however have decided not to deal with it yet- I PUT IT ALL IN A STORAGE UNIT!! I deal with it later!!

Definetly sell the dolls on ebay or craigs list. I know what you mean, I still have a ton of stuff at my old house, I am just putting offf going back to Brooklyn to get it all.

I know how frustrating it is trying to fit everything from your past into your new home. It took me months to go through all my stuff and finally get the extra bedroom that everything was piled in cleared out. And now that it's finally a functional room, DH's dad needs him to clear out all his old stuff. We just started yesterday, and it's gonna take a while since he has so much cr@p! So now the extra room that I finally got organized is piled with clutter again!
If you don't have space for it in your house, maybe you could try to get a storage unit until you figure out what to do will it all? good luck!

I would say try to sell them on ebay

Mine got rid of everything when I moved out the first time.

She does (thank god) keep those things that are 'keepsakes'. I have paintings, ect that I did as a kid in her basement. The only 'collection' I ever had were little porcelain animals. Tiny dogs, elephants ect. I could never sell them...I used to play with them instead of barbies. She has a basement...
