My NY appearance...

OK...its final...I won't be getting to NY any sooner than October...and just for a weekend...so I jampacking events into it...a baby shower a wedding...and if anyone is up to it...a night out at our favorite East Village pub...Bull McCabes...

I'm sorry that I can't do anything more personal, but hopefuly you guys can make it on say 10/11...

Sorry if you're not here for longer this time. I should be around that weekend - we're away the first week for our anniversary

I'll have to see when it gets a little closer since it's the holiday weekend though. When is the wedding and baby shower? That is a jam-packed weekend!

its packed...we get in fri night...the baby shower is sat afternoon...we are doing the bar thing on sat night...spending the day at my sisters new house sun afternoon...going to the wedding sunday night...and then flying back monday...

we didn't want to take too many days off..with the new job...

John is the only working one right now...I guess since the beginning of August...

I'm not as lucky...but am enjoying my unpaid umemployment....I just took a civil service test for the San Deigo county Library...so hopefully I will have some news on that in 3-4 weeks...and I am finishing up my library degree starting in the spring - and am very psyched since they are weekend and online classes...

I've applied to some schools...but positions are very tight!! there are none...arnold schwarzenegger better fix this!!!

John likes his job...but its a little overwhelming...but considering his experience...they want him to take on managerial aspects...so hopefully that means raise...

as for arnold...he has done alot for education...which I have to support...if I want a job...grey davis said that he raise education...but I don't know if it counts when you raise it and then cut it down almost to the same spot...and deflate the dreams of the people who get laid off in that time {{}}

Lisa...putting the pressure on me huh... I can't believe how you guys are pushing it up...just be careful driving cross-country in the winter...we did it in feb and it was not fun in the NE (the big blizzard - we hit the very beginning and then had 24 hours of pouring rain!!)

is nov/dec a nice time? we can shoot for then...but it will depend if I have a job or not

its nice here in Nov/Dec - but who knows. Its been 90 the last few days, which is rare for august.

We plan on taking the southern route to avoid snowfall, and hopefully Dec/Jan is early enough that the NE will still be ok. But we'll have to see how the timing all works out. Al just got a hefty raise today, which makes it harder to just walk away...

I don't know, he's not home yet so we haven't talked about it.

I don't want $$ to be the deciding factor, but its tough not to consider it. Hard to walk away from a great income and go to nothing. I guess we'll see if he gets any job prospects in the next couple of months.
