My One year Anniversary is this Sunday - Quick question

Hi, Ladies.
This sunday is our one year anniversary. I can't believe how quickly it went!
One quick question for you- how early did you take out your wedding cake to defrost? The day before, two days before? What do you think?
Did anybody's cake actually taste good? My hubby and I are going out to eat at Tavern on the Green to celebrate since he proposed in front of the restaurant. I think I will get dessert there just in case our cake tastes terrible.

I don't know about defrosting the cake, but I took DH to Tavern on the Green this weekend for his birthday and pre-ordered the strawberry shortcake as a surprise. It was so good, and the waiter said it was the best cake they make.

We took ours out the evening before, and had some of it for breakfast! It tasted pretty good but we were afraid to eat more then a small piece each because we had a weekend getaway to San Antonio planned.

Our cake was kinda scary also because it travelled via car from NY to Florida and from Florida to Texas a few months later so it didn't exactly stay frozen frozen the whole time.. but somehow the icing was still really good
