So, now sure how to approach this one. I just picked up my proofs and I love them, but there are many gaps. There are no pics of the coctail hour, people at their tables AT ALL, outside where lots of people were hanging out on the porch, the centerpieces, details such as my donation favor seed packets, the lanterns I had all along the walls outside, the outside of Coindre Hall and not many candids. He started with 1200 and gave me 647 proofs. I know he took out the ones with us blinking, making silly faces, etc. But, where are all of the other parts of the night? Please advise.

I would question where they are...like where were u during this time??? If you are not fully happy I would ask how they are going to compensate you....I would def. speak with someone!

Some of cocktail hour we were taking pics and some of dinner we were taking pics, but the rest of the time we were with our guests.

well you said he took 1200 pics, ask him if he still has those pics and if you can decide for yourself whether or not you want them. He might've taken pics out that you would want

did you give them a must take photo list?
Not that I think you should have to tell a professional what pics are important, but if you did and they didnt follow it than I would definetly say something

I wrote a short list, but it was more shots I would like. I specifically told them to take pics of the outside of Coindre Hall and all of the details.

Then i would call and tell them that. You paid them a lot of money and you should voice your concerns

Same kind of thing happened to me, although there are tons of pics on the dance floor, I don't care as much about people at the tables. I do miss pics of our details (CPs, menus, programs-- atlhough we did get a pic of the favor, cake topper, etc.)
Cocktail Hour same as you, we were gone for part but I was hoping there would be some....I know the same thing happened. I asked about it but haven't gotten an answer yet--I want to just say ok just give them all to me and I'll decide!

Yeah there are some pics I know were taken (i.e. there are shots of DH and each groomsman individually except for one. He's notoriously bad at smiling in pictures, like we joke he's as difficult to take pictures of as our dog b/c he always looks away or makes a stupid face, so I figured they got taken out...but he always does that, so for us it might stil be good....) I would definitely ask about it. I sent an email, waiting for a response (this was like yesterday)....if I don't get one I'll probably call....

No I meant the photographer....if they left so much out I would ? where they were...def. didnt mean you!

This basically happened to me, too. I specifically recalled our photographer taking certain pics and we never got proofs for them. I emailed our photog saying, 'just curious, what happened to the pictures of ---'.... turns out, not all of the pictures uploaded correctly on the website he uses. Definitely say something - remember, you PAID for the services, and you are entitled to see each and every shot (IMO).

i got digital proofs that they posted online but then i also got all my proofs - like 1200 - on a dvd. there were a lot of pics that I liked on the dvd that weren't part of their online pics. definitely ask.
