As many of you know, DH won side stage access to Friday night's show. We got to the arena and had to wait what felt like hours for PLJ to get there...they were stuck in traffic. We were the first group to go into the fan pit on 'Richie's side' of the stage. I was so happy to be on Richie's side as he's my boy. We got on line late though, and ended up towards the back. I could not take a good pic to save my life - the lighting made it really difficult so they all came out blurry. I was trying so hard to find the right setting on my camera!
So we were in the pit for 'You Give Love a Bad Name,' our cake cutting song 'Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen from Mars' (a special moment for us!) and 'Summertime' a song from the new album. Then they took us off. It all happened sooooo fast and we never really got any interaction from Jon, but Richie acknowledged us now and then. What stunk was, I would say most of the people in the pit were not true blue fans that knew the obscure songs. DH and I were the only ones in there doing the 'swing' to Capt. Crash!
Here's some pics....I must admit, not my favorite of their shows. It lacked something- but then again I'm a friggin zombie on Friday nights...I'm always soooo tired!
BTW, our friends who were at the show totally saw us up there and were waving!

I have not seen him since third grade!!!!!!!!!!!
I had him when I was younger and my sister's boyfriend at the time took him all over and wrote an extensive (and very funny) letter about all the places Stanley had traveled!!
Wow- that really brought me back- how funny!

Great pics! I love Bon Jovi! We saw Bad Medicine last night at a bar- the lead looks just like Bon Jovi!
I have no idea who/what Flat Stanley is...now I need to go googling.

nope, just the opposite. I'M tired of going! I'm sleepy! He's going again Thursday- without me!! Then we go on Saturday and that's it. I'm Bon Jovi'd out.
Though last night's show was AWESOME. Much better than the first - but I'm sure only the really crazy fans felt that way- they played some really awesome obscure stuff that they almost never do. Such cool surprises!!!

You are soooo sweet Sarah!!! I missed having you around- I was dying to share all my crazy Yankee/Bon Jovi ideas with someone as crazy as me! We even had Bob Sheppard record our BP announcements!!!
We loved dancing to our cake cutting song at the concerts. (Capt. Crash), garter song (Lay Your Hands on Me), intro song (Prayer) and bouquet song (Raise Your Hands)- so that's right ALL WE NEED IS OUR WEDDING SONG!!!
Oh wait....we could also hear our spotlight dance too! (you had me from hello) Why not do it all?
I would LOVE to meet up with you!!! We don't know what section we'll be in yet though- we have to pick up Fan Club seats at 5:30. We'll probably be either at the Fire or Ice bars....we should meet there!! That's where we've been spending our time during the opening acts and stuff.
