My Wedding Band Cracked!

I forgot to tell you girls the other day. My wedding band always had a line in it (in the back) from when they sized it. I just thought it was no big deal. When we got back from the HM DH wanted to take it to the jeweler to have them look at it, but I didn't. Well, Monday I'm at work and realize the line turned into a crack through the entire thickness of the band! DH took the band and the ering to the jeweler as soon as I got home. Apparently my ering has a hairline crack in it as well. Good thing I sent the ering with him also because I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. The funny thing is the jeweler inspected the rings just last month a few days before the wedding. So I've been without my rings all week, wearing a fake set because I can't not wear something. DH is supposed to pick the rings up tomorrow...we'll see.

OH, and when he brought it in, they tried to sell him an upgrade! They told him he only spent $5k so he could trade it in for full value and pay just an additional $4k for the upgrade. JERKS!

That $ucks, I hope they are in better condition when you get them back. Upgrade, unbelievable!!! They know you just got married and have the gift money and try to get him to double the value of the ring, crazy people!!!

OMG! That's such a bummer, good thing they caught the fractuer in your e-ring too

I can't believe they tried to get him to upgrade your rings, what jerks! I think your set is gorgeous!!!

if that doesn't work, take it to a different jeweler..... frankly, I question their in-house repair/resizing abilities if both rings were insufficiently soddered after sizing....

thank god you didn't lose one!!!

I agree-hopefully it gets fixed and there are no more problems!
