The wall was a little more purple than I would have liked b/c it had to work with the burgandy drapes from Pottery Barn. It doesnt come across totally true in color or in impact in these photos but I really like it

The wall color looks great Stef! Really gives new warmth to the room. Enjoy it!
One word on scale, tho - the photo collage on that wall is way too small. You can add one or two more other collages to visually take up more space, or hang a much larger photo/print there. Just an idea

Thanks Claud. I definitely agree thats its way too small. I bought some other photo frames to fill the wall but havent had an opportunity to put it up.
I really want this and think maybe someone is thinking of getting it for me for my BD so Im might wait and see about that. (dont want to put holes in the wall unless i plan on keeping them there)

Very cool. Love the red wall and the potential pic for the wall.
Is your house always so neat and clean?? Not one magazine or random junk anywhere!

I love the red...it adds a warm feeling to the room.
I like it a lot...I am a bog fan of painting one wall a deep color...I think it creates dimension!!

Looks great. We had our apt painted recently, and I was too chicken to go so bold.

Stef - I love it - the red adds so much character. I have been slowly adding red to the LR, and I have an old (really old) coffee table that I really want to paint deep red and scratch it up a bit - any tips?

The red paint was not hard at all.
If you want a distressed look, use a brush. If you want something really uniform, use a roller. If you want to distress wooden furniture, paint it using flat paint and then take a sander to rough it up a bit.
