The first - and only thing - I've done so far is go to Social Security. You can print the forms online off of their website and then go down there, but they're only open until 4pm.

I'm not changing my license or anything else until after our honeymoon in October - we're going to Italy and it's a waste to me to change my name on my passport since i still have 2 years left of use on it - and we're moving to NC in August, so I'll have to get a new license anyway when we get there. But again, not until after our HM.

1. Social Security Card When you receive your marriage certificate in the mail (about 2 weeks) you need to get a new Social Security card.
You can either get an authorized copy of your marriage certificate from the office that issued it and mail it in to social security or go down to the office.
It was annoying but I went on my lunch break because I didn't want to have to wait for another document to come in the mail. It took me about 30 minutes. Download and fill out this form and bring it to them filled out. Also bring in your Marriage Certificate and drivers license with your old name. I think I also brought in my old social security card too. You will receive it in two weeks. Find the location here

2. Drivers License Go to DMV, bring in your old drivers license and marriage certificate. It is recommended (I didn't need it) to bring in your OLD social security card. Download and fill out this form and bring it to DMV The fee is $5 and look nice because they will retake your photo. It took me about 1 and a 1/2 hours to do this. It came in the mail in two weeks.DMV NY Locations

The next thing I did was my bank, I am still waiting for that. I am still trying to change my info with my company and bank. I have a bunch of other places to do also but those are the most important. Good luck!

Re: Name change

hmmm. I'd start with Driver's License and Registration.

Then, I'd do the passport since you'll have to mail in your marriage license.

While that's out, I'd do the credit cards
