i totally stopped with the name change thing...too time consuming, lines, aggravation etc... all that Ive done is license. Is that really bad? I got married in July. what else do I have to do and wha happens if I dont keep going?

Re: Name change
all Ive done so far is SS and library card...I have not had ANY time to go to the DMV or send in any other forms....why oh why does this have to be so complicated???
Someone should seriously consider a better way for the millions of women who have to go through this

Re: Name change
I am so confused, plus I have one week off to do this stuff and the lines stink. I know since I changed my name on my paycheck i have to get to SS. But what about DMV? can that wait too or does everything need to be done!! Yikes

Re: Name change
I would think DMV is most important. Though SS seems pretty important as well. Its the lines that are time consuming.

Re: Name change
I did most of it last Friday when I was off from work.
I first went to the social security office, then to DMV. I then came home and called all my credit card and utility companies. I have to still change it at work, which I will do when I go back on Tuesday. DH and I are going to the bank tomorrow to change it there as well.
I'm not going to lie, it was a PIA!!!!!! but I love being Mrs. S!
