Ok am I the only one that so far did not do 1 thing with respects to changing your name???
I think I am afraid to because I am going to Europe in Sept and with the back up with Passports, I am afraid to do it and not get it in time.
What do you ladies think?

I say wait.. Passports are delayed so bad right n ow they are refunding people who have paid a fee for rush service

Make sure that the name on the flight ticket toi Europe is the same on the passport. If the ticket is in your maiden name dont bother applying for the new passport now.

You can also bring your marriage certificate as well to prove that your new last name is correct on the ticket to match the marriage lic.

I haven't done A THING either so don't worry.
I sent for copies of the license, so I am just waiting for them to come. Maybe Thursday, I'll go down to S.S and DMV

The passport wait is out of control. Since the new law, they have had over 450,000 applications. A record high. I'd wait Bari. Even if you pay to get it expedited, your wait is atleast a month. . I changed everything else, and will wait to get my passport with my married name.

Sorry, but that makes me happy to hear that. I felt like I was the only one because all my friends went out the next day or the day they got back from the HM.

i changed everyything but my passport.... i am going to italy this summer and just booked my ticket in my maiden name to match the passport.
I haven't done a blessed thing and I don't plan on it. DH really wants me to and bugs me all the time and I know it hurts his feeling but he's not taking my feelings into consideration either. I've been who I am for almost 40 years now and even though I love him I just feel like i'm not them- i'm me. It's hard to explain. I feel like i'm loosing who I am. I will do it eventually it's just going to take me some time.
PASSPORT- DON'T DO IT!!! Do it after like all the girls said. My friend who got married in March sent hers in immediately bc they were going away the end of May and she got it a week before the trip.
