Where do I start? I'm assuming I need to go to social security first, am I right? Then I can do everything else?

Re: Name change...
You need to go to SS first then dmv, but you can change your credit cards anytime.

Re: Name change...
Start with ssn once you get your certificate in the mail. Then DMV, passport. Then I guess work stuff (401k, insurance) and bank accounts. Then start your credit cards and other misc. Make sure you get your photo id changed before you change things like cc.
I got married in October and only did ssn, work and bank accounts. Been too lazy and too cold to walk to DMV on my lunch hour!
I wrote to you on another thread - are you still delayed? when can you head out?

I went to DMV first , then I went to SS. I dont think it matters, as long as you have your marriage cert.

Re: Name change...
I went to SSA with my marriage certificate, then changed my name at work, with my credit cards, and finally got over to DMV a few weeks ago - that wasn't fun! I waited on the longest line, but it's over with now
Next on the list is my passport, but I first need to order a certified copy of my certificate. Then once I receive that, I have to mail the certificate along with my passport to have my name changed. It sounds like a long process, but with everyone going on right now, I don't expect to be traveling out of the country anytime soon.
