Name Change

Now that I'm all married and back from my HM it's time to change my name!!

What do I do first? I know I need to go to the SS office but what do I need to bring with me?? Thank you ladies!!!

You can always get the application there if you don't get it ahead of time

I went to SS first and needed the application and marriage license, then went to DMV and changed my license, registration and title for my car, and just yesterday I called all my credit card companies (some were easy, one is sending me something I have to sign), changed my car insurance, and sent in my passport with 2 new photos and my marriage license to get it changed on there too (it's free if it was issued within a year).

p.s. its takes longer to get your SS card... but you can mail it with your marriage certificate if that is easier. I did!
