Name Change, Checking Accounts??

When you change your name, will the bank honor the checks that have your maiden name on them? Or do you have to get new checks printed???? If so, what do you do for the week or so it takes for the checks to come? Am I worrying about nothing here? Thanks!

YEs they do. I have not even changed anything from my banking and I have not had any problems.

they will
b/c when u go to open a joint acct they copy your license so they know your maiden name

they do however, we opened a joint acct after the wedding so I mainly use the new ones with my married name now.
