Name Change question

I havent done anything yet to change my last name... I really dont want to because I hate DH's last name, but I am, I took it on the marriage license. My question is, I read of a lot of lawyers or other professionals keeping their maiden name professionally and for all other purposes have their DH's last name. Are there any special procedures that need to be taken to go about doing this? TIA

one of my BM's did this b/c she is a lawyer... her SN on here is NinaChris07 - FM her if you want and tell her you know me and ask her!!
