I went to SS first but I didn't have my new card before I went to DMV so basically, it didn't matter.

i dont think it matters

i went to the ss office first
then the dmv

all they cared about was id and marriage license

Doesn't matter! I'd do SS first just because for everything BUT the DMV, you will likely need it.

I did SS only so far.

The woman at the social security office told me to do ss first she said there have been a few cases where things were messed up b/c the name and ss number did not match when a person tried to change other things first.

I just spent 3 hours at the DMV to change my name. Ugh, I hope S.S. isn't as bad.

doesn't matter..I did DMV first but only bc I live around the street from that lil bit of heaven
