Hey newlyweds, I totally forgot about the OTHER boards on LIW and just realized that this was here! Congrats to all!
My question: I have only changed my drivers license so far...
WHAT is the deal with SS office? If I run in there at 9AM, will it be quick or will I wait around like at the DMV? Just trying to fit this around my work schedule. thanks!
Also- What else besides credit cards requires a name change that I am forgetting? THANKS!!!!!!!!

SS took me about 25 minutes. Theres a wait sometimes (I waited about 20 minutes) and then its real quick from there. They mail you a new card in like a week.
Also, you should go to DMV and change the registration and Title on your car. After that, is just bank accounts, credit cards, and diplomas (if you choose to change that).

We went to SS first, and we were in and out in 15 minutes. We went early. DMV also I was in and out in about 15 minutes.
I had to change my name on DMV-Liscence and Title SS- SS card Credit cards Car insurance, car loan place Student Loans Banks

Yep, that's all you need. You can use your licesnse with your maiden name on it if you want to go to SS first.
