Seriously, I love it because there's nothing more fulfilling than working with kids and seeing what they can accomplish together when we do our concerts. And when they appreciate it is even better!

Reason I don't love it...hmmm....work never stops. I come home and I still have work to do. So I can never leave my work back in the classroom.

I'll put it simply...

I picked my poison. I love science, and was fed up having a bachelors and then as a lab technician, being told to scrape crud off of the floor with a razor.... so I went back to school, got my PhD, did a post doc, and now I'm jr faculty.....

guess what I'm doing this week? We're moving the lab to the other side of the building, and it is my responsibility to.... you guessed it, crape crud off of the benchtops with a razor blade so much for the added 8 years of training.

I love the job becuase no one micromanages me, and I basically choose what to research.... I HATE it becuase after 12 years of training, I have ZERO job security, and am paid less than 1/2 of what people with comperable education / experience do in other fields (ex. lawyers). but, I don't have to deal with the office BS they do, so I guess I prefer to stay in the lab....

I LOVE medicine b/c healing is the most humbling and rewarding thing in world.

I don't love it b/c you can't learn everything and the constant studying is a b!tch!

heh, forgot about that part...... yeah, that applies to me too!

I love it because I can slack and no one will bother me about it.

I hate it because of my commute on the subway.

I love it because it's not your typical office environment. It's laid-back and casual and they don't micromanage.

I hate it because most managers here are real managers and suck at their jobs.

I love Nursing b/c of the compassionate aspect involed in healing. I love the Flexibility of time and hours etc.

I hate it b/c I just dondt wanna work!

I love my job bc it's where I met DH and it's nice working for the same place.

I hate my job bc I don't make enough $$, I have no room to advance, this isn't what I went to school for, and I don't get along with any of my co-workers (except DH of course).

I love it because of the great hours & lots of days off. And it's a short commute (10 mins). And for the most part I really like my coworkers & I feel like I 'belong'. And of course the paycheck & benefits.

I hate it because it's a ton of work that never ends even on my days off. I can't leave work at work, it's too much. I hate the micromanaging and administrators on top of us all the time. Working conditions can be really lousy there (no supplies for us, no closets to put our things, etc). And being with moody teenagers all day is really stressful & draining. Lastly being on my feet all day kills me cause I have problems with my legs to begin with.

I guess there are good things and bad things about every job.

I love my job b/c my girls make me laugh on a daily basis & I actually have a very easy going kind of boss.

I 'hate' my job b/c it amazes me on a dialy basis how rude people can really be.....

i LOVE THE AUTONOMY and the flexibilty.

I have a love/hate relationship with the travel. I love going to new cities! I don't like when my boss comes with me, and I have to do trips like this week.....I leave on a 6am flight Monday morning to CHicago. YUCK

I wanna play!

I love my job because I get paid to argue, I love helping children who are being abused and neglected and thrown in the middle of their parent's childish bullcrap-it is the best thing to see that you helped a child actually have a real future! I love court, I love the law, and I love hearing stories about children who I helped who turn around and do well!

I hate my job because some attorneys are so rude and make personal attacks, because sometimes, there is no good answer, it is hard to find law for a very particular set of facts, the law doesn't always protect the children, and there are many people who use certain proceedings improperly (like obtaining an order of protection to get grounds for a divorce or exclusive occupancy, thus wasting resources so we can't help those who are victims of abuse).
I also hate trying to reason with stupid teens who think they are immune to the law and don't want to realize that their bad attitude can wind them in juvenile detention until they are 18! I hate when I can't seem to get through to them that they can be imprisoned when they violate probation 10 times for mouthing off and running from home. Oh, and the children that insist on staying in abusive environments-can't save them all.

And, the annoying continuing education requirement that of course is expensive!

I love it bc I work with really amazing people and my boss is so cool..

I hate it bc my co-workers feel they need to compete with EVERY thing that I do there and it makes me hate them and they are really nice people, if they weren't so self absorbed and obnoxious.

What I love about my job... the 15th and the 30th of the month (when I get paid! )

I hate the commute, the politics and the pain in the butt people!

Reasons I love my job:

After the school year last year, I was so relieved it was over. I worked at a pretty difficult high school and I dreaded my 4th period class so much. On July 4th, I got an email from one of my students telling me how much he appreciated all I did for him and how I made him interested in science. That really did make my summer.

Another added bonus to my job is the time off.

Reasons I dislike my job:

I hate that you have to take work home (although I am getting much better at doing it all at work)

I hate that although the school gives you supplies you always have to buy stuff yourself, especially for science activities. Office Max says the average teacher spends 1200+ on additional supplies and I would say I am right on target if not above that number.
