we live in westbury salisbury area now and love it, fh was thinking hicksville? i've heard mix things about east meadow

if all goes well, we'll be buying in east meadow. i had my reservations at first, since i had also heard mixed things about east meadow, but after doing my own research, the schools are actually pretty good. the EM SD is almost like 2 districts in one. there are the schools in EM, then there are schools for the salisbury area of westbury that fall under the EM school district. they have their own elementary, middel and high school.

with EM, there were certain sections i wasn't crazy about, but where we're buying we love, and the elementary school is really good.

i would personally like to move out east closer to my family. but DH wants to stay in nassau for the commute

massapequa/massapequa park are really nice, and massapequa and plainedge schools are good districts. maybe that could be a compromise? as much as we love the area, it was a bit too far east from DHs family, and we wanted to stay close to his family. but you have babylon train line right there so it's an easy commute to the city, plus you're in eastern nassau. if you're looking for a house, i'm not sure what your price range is, but there are many great home buying opportunities in massapequa.

personally, the only ones I really have experience with are the Bellmore/Merrick and Wantagh school districts, which are both really good.

Where in EM...that's where I live and grew up! The schools are GREAT and DH can I love it here!
