Sorry this isn't wedding related, but I need some help....
Next Tuesday is National Bosses Day and I really wanted to get something/do something for my boss since he's really great to work for. It can't be too personal because we're not really close, and I didn't want it to look like I was blatantly kissing a**. I just wanted to show my appreciation. A bottle of wine? What do you think? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
I think what would be really be appreciated is a handwritten note that just tells him how much you enjoy working for the company, and for him. Everyone enjoys a pat on the back, he probably does not get many from his employees, and you would not make him feel uncomfortable with any monetary gesture. Just don't make it too over-the-top so it doesn't come off as kissing A** Just keep it simple.
We (there are 3 of us in the dept.) are taking my boss to lunch on Tuesday.
