Who better to ask, then you ladies that have already been through it.

How many photographers do you need the day of your wedding?

sorry more info. I don't mean two different studios, just two people from the same company.

I'm just wondering if it makes a difference?

Need is probably not the right word...you don't need to have any photographers really. But I think the difference in having one vs two photographers is pretty substantial...especially if you want a lot of candids and natural shots along with the more traditional photos.

I had 2- it is worth it if the styles are different, but not a neccessitty. You do get more shots that way.

One also and it was fine!! We also had him come out there before the wedding and take some shots so he already had a trial with us and the place!!

we had 2 photographers 2 lighting assistants and a videographer - one photographer doing regular shots - poses and such and one doing exclusively photojournalism - it cost us 150 extra for the second person and it was really worth it

You don't need two but if you want more photojournalism/candid shots, you'll get better coverage of the wedding with two. We had two and while the primary person is taking the usual shots, the candid photographer can get a different angle, the expression on people's faces watching you etc. Simply put, one person can not be everywhere. you need to first decide what sort of style you want.

we had one photographer...he was great! the only advantage that 2 would be better than 1 i think is the fact of different ideas for pics. either way i think you would be fine!!
