I know of a lot of really good ones, but they are all out east sorry. The best are really in the Hamptons, but Freeport, is also good. There are a few good restaurants there.

How about one of the Fishes? Passion Fish in Woodbury (at the Woodlands) or Cool Fish in Syosset?

Louie's, in Port Washington. They have tables on the water, though you will probably want to reserve. It can get very crowded.
The food is good, not spectacular, but the views are worth it.

louies is great. THe jolly fisherman in roslyn is fantastic, but not by the water.
Bayville has a lot by the water.

I second Coyote -- actually there are 5 restaurants in the area. Go on a Sunday about 3 pm the place is hopping. Any of these places are delicious.
