Need a venue

Need a venue

I'm trying to help a friend plan a wedding and they are looking for a non traditional/ loft type place.

They are into the winter months so not outdoors.. they want to be able to choose from caterers and have their whole wedding be a big cocktail type reception.. no sit down dinner.. but not buffet really.. just constant cocktail hour and a huge dessert hour.. any ideas?

my brother and sister in law's wedding was at the Pratt Mansion across the street from central park. It sounds like everything you described! They only had about 50 people in December. It was very pretty.

I think the Pratt Mansions can definitely accomodate bigger - its a mansion lol with a lot of rooms, they just had a small wedding.

Thank you!! They are so difficult (not that I was an easy bride hahaha) They prefer Brooklyn/Queens.. don't want Long Island.. and would rather not Manhattan but it's hard to find a place under all of these strict rules hahaha

I definitely recommend the metropolitan building in LIC, Queens, they might be a bit pricey though not sure. The lady i spoke to was a bit uhmm stupid and when i called her for info bc was considering it for dh's birthday she told me something but i highly doubt it lol

OR the foundry in LIC is very different, so nice and goes perfect with the whole loft idea.
