so my DH had to take his truck off the road like 2 yrs ago or so. at the time his cousin and him were still on speaking terms so he said he could leave it in his yard out in riverhead. When he and his wife.. (my moh) filed for divorced he stopped talkin to all of us.. and vice versa.. long story. anyway.. he moved the truck with no plates to the lot next door which has a different land lord (his cousin owns his house but not that one)... so over the weekend the landlord got notice that he had 10 days to move the truck or he'd get a fine. So my MOH texted me and we called a towing place for this thursday. i let her know. when she let his cousin know he texted her saying the landlord got rid of it and he doesnt know where it is. my DH is fuming ...cause he had til the beg. of next week... im gonna try calling some impound lots.. but i have no idea where to start!!! wat should i do??

wow that s*cks, but i would call the place nearest to his cousins house, thats probably where they took it. Look it up online, or even call 411 and see if they can help you.

yea.. that's what i'm looking into. This way he can get it towed from there or do whatever. I don't wanna wait til we get a letter from them and start racking up fees..plus he's going back to work and will only be able to get out there this week.. so thats another issue..!!!

The notice that the landlord received- where did it come from- maybe he had them tow it?

I agree w/ the others----I would just start calling places. That stinks----but you're right----I'd try to find it ASAP so u don't have to pay all kinds of fees.

thanks girls.. from what his cousin told my MOH he has no idea. he doesnt think hed call the cops to have them tow it cause he wouldnt wanna get involved in all that.. and he said he thinks he just had it towed and junked. I got no info today... so tom. i'll try and make some other phone calls!!
