Re: need advice badly..... before I call my video guy

I don't know about the second issue but as for the name problem, fixing that is easy and they should do that for you with no problem. My videographer made a spelling change on ours and we called him and he sent out 4 new tapes corrected (and let us keep the incorrect ones). We had the new ones within a few days.

I would definatly call and ask that the name be corrected. That should be an easy edit, and something they should do without question.

As for the tables, ask them what happened. It may be that those guests were up dancing and having such a great time they couldn't find them at the table together.

First on the name mistake: He needs to correct it. period. No one wants a video with groom's name spelled wrong so I don't think you will need to say anything more than that to your videographer. (Who spells Greg 'Graig' anyway? If I was him, I would have double checked to make sure it wasn't a typo before I did it since it's more likely that the name is Craig-plus they're not consistently wrong, having spelled your hubby's name right elsewhere-sloppy) Nonetheless, it's easily remedied.

Second, regard the interviews: Definitely watch the unedited copy first to see if they were ever done. If they were but not included in the edited copy, again I would insist that he re-edit the video. They asked if you wanted it, you said you did. They even asked specifically which tables, and you replied specifically so there should be no argument.

However, if the interviews were never done, that's another story. Obviously they can't edit in interviews that were never done and I'm not sure what your recourse is on this. Do you have a copy of the sheet where you specify which tables? You can make a stink over it, which may or may not result in some sort of compensation, perhaps you can have a planned request - maybe a free DVD copy or something like that?

I had an issue with my photographer (long boring story) and he compensated me with some free 11x14 pics and since he couldn't undo the mistake (nothing major, just a big headache), I felt satisfied with this as compensation.

But see if the interviews are on there first. Hopefully they are and hopefully your videographer will be professional enough to make good on satisfying you without any aggravation.

Good luck! I hope it all works out for you.

LOL, me a lawyer? not at all! (although I do love Law & Order and Judge Judy) I'm just trying to think of how I would handle it or have handled some of my own wedding glitches

You have a right to have the spelling mistake corrected. As to the table interview, I would think they probably didn't do it because there is no reason to not have it in the edited version. I would defintely have them throw in some extras if that is the case.

You paid money for their services, and you should be happy with the results. I would contact them ASAP and let them know.

We also had problems with the video--the left out my husband dancing with his mom and since my dad is not living My mom had prepared somethign to say--- and they left that out as well-- we sent it back months and months ago and is still not done--
they were completely understanding but it is ridiculous how long it has taken--
on another note--they had the wrong date on my mom's album-- yet another thing they fixed but it is still annoying that no one else noticed
