Need advice Re: photographer

Any opinions?? I have only met with 1 company and was not too thrilled. Anyone love their pictures??? I like a mix of traditional and candid pics. Would also like to use same company for video if possible. Also, has anyone had a digital album made? Thanks!!!!

We used Imagine Studios and absolutely LOVED them! Check out their website - www.imaginestudios.net -
There a bunch of brides on here that have used them and I've only heard rave reviews -

I really liked Fine Art and used them for both my video and photo. My photographer was Chuck.

I had a mix of traditional and candids. I posted a ton of pictures (mostly traditional) back in November if you want to do a search for them.

As far as video - the raw footage was terrific. I haven't gotten the shortened tapes yet because I haven't given them all the stuff they need yet!

What is your price range?
I am very happy with Mark Kauffman Studios.
I had, MK,Roy and Jackie shot my wedding. Normally you get 2 photographers with his studio. I had 3, but that is a very long story. His work is beautiful.
Wild Rose for video 100%.

We used Sherwood Triart for both photo and video and LOVED them. However, they are on the pricey side. We got a mix of B&W and portraits.

Even though I did not use them, based on what I've snee here I would recommend Wild Rose for video.

we used VIP and will be having the digital album (the Soho album) made once we get our proofs and stuff. I really liked Johns work, he does a good mix of styles IMO.

I loved my pictures- I posted quite a few, so if you do a search you can check them out.

Her name is Autumn, and she is from a shop called Photo Zone in Bay Ridge. I am not a Brooklyn girl- (got married in Bethpage) but she is a friend of mine (we went to college together- she has her BFA in Photography).

Her style is a mix of both traditional and photojournalistic/funky- and she is SUPER affordable.

I used Jerry Myers Studio. They are located in queens and deal mainly with the religious community.
That being said- they were absolutely WONDERFUL with us.
WE had 2 crews for pre ceremony, ceremony, and post, then one crew for the reception. I did NOT want to take pics together before hand and the 2 crews worked well.
It is a bit pricey- but ROb and I decided that THIS is what we wanted to splurge on and I cut corners elsewhere.

Video was done by a partner of his and that too came out wonderfully!

I have to second Candlelite Video.....just got my edited dvd back and it was amazing....it is so professional looking with great artistry. We love it and they have many packages and their cameras are super small, state of the art. Very unobtrusive.

Personally, I dont think you should use the same company for both photo and video as each one is a different art. Candlelite video works with Visual Concepts Photography who I hear is wonderful. (I didnt use them - had already booked my photog.)
