Need feedback from Riviera brides

Hello All,
Well, I am far from being a Newlywed, in fact, I have about 18months to go but i wanted to get some advice and my friend Cira who always posts on here turned me on to this sight.She said she got tons of help so i figured i'd give it a shot.
Anyway so far we are hoping to book the Riviera after our food tasting this weekend. i have heard alot of good things and some not so good things about the food. Any input is appreciated.

Two of my closest friends are getting married there within the next year, and they are *extremely* excited about their choice! My Mom has been to a wedding there, and said the food was very good...actually, she wanted me to have my wedding there, but I fell in love with Port Jeff CC.

Thanks, I wanted to look at PJCC, it looks so nice on teh website, but the fiance wanted to keep it in nassau or western Suffolk.

Welcome & congrats!! I am not a Riviera bride but I attended a wedding there in may 2001. The ceremony was outside & it was pretty. The cocktail hour was great-it was a beautiful sunny day. The food does not bring back any memories, if it were bad I would remember. The place was lovely & the couple was very happy with their choice. You can try doing a search for previous posts about the Riviera.

I think I might have posted about the Riviera--I was in a wedding there June 01-- beautiful grounds--the bride used the photographer that has tons of his shots up there and the riviera is using one of them!!! how cool is that!!!

I was married at the Riviera last month and I have only good things to say about my whole Riviera experience. They let me and my bridal party use the facility a few hours before our ceremony for picutres. They worked with me on incoporating a lot of little details (ie. I folded the napkins differently - wrapped little candy canes around them, I had reindeer place card holders).

I would highly recommend the Riviera - if you have any questions just forum mail me.

Do a search on here about the Riveiera. You'll see lots of different viewpoints.

I've been to the Riviera a bunch of times - and all of them have not been good experiences with the food.

Our wedding was at the Riviera last Nov. We had a wonderful time. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. The service was wonderful and Michelle, our wedding planner, was great. Our pictures came out great with the scenery and landscaping (even though it was Fall)

I have been the the Riviera and I love it. I met with Michelle and Kristy and they were great. I think you need to like the people you are working with and I think I would love to work with them. They are full of ideas and not the typical 'banquet managers' Still going to look at a few more places. Any other feedback on them?

ps they said they would work on the min sat night is 150

Hi there i had to forum mail you when i saw that they said they would work with yuo for a saturday night? How low did they say they would go. My fiance really wants a saturday night but we were told by kristy that they cant work with us for a saturday the boss is really strict about it. Then again we are looking for July which is prime time there so maybe thats why. Anyway please let me know everything you can when you get a chance.
