In Suffolk :).. We are going out with two other couples friday night and want a nice place (NO ITALIAN!!!) LOL.. But we dont want to break the bank either.
Also a nice place to lounge in the resturant after.
Any suggestions?

Smokey Bones by Island 16 is great... but it's a more casual atmosphere... great food & nice bar...but not so much 'loungey' if u know what i mean...but its fun & SOOOOO good!

sushi is a great idea. One of my favorite sushi places in Suffolk is AJI53. They have a nice, big bar there too if you want to sit and hang out for a while. The nutty irishman is right across the street too I believe. You can go sushi and then to the bar.

Red Dish Bar and Grille in Commack on Jericho is really, really good and then they have a really nice bar to hang at afterwards. I love that place!

Honu in Huntington. It's small plates.. 2-3 per person is good and the food is great. Lots of different flavors to taste.

I was going to say this as well...this is DH and my place...we go ALL the time haha the food is soo good. BUT they don't take reservations so that is bad. Friday nights are usually busier than Sat's so I would suggest going a little earlier and then having a drink at the bar if you go there. HOWEVER the bar is always crowded on a Fri as well so you might want to check some other place out if you want to be able to stand or sit at the bar while waiting for your table or after you eat.
