what are you ladies doing for first anniversary? A small trip or present exchange?
Im lost. DH is sooo hard to shop for. i usually give him something from the heart that I make and he loves that but I am out of ides this year.
We are thinking of going to the shore for a weekend. Do you think thats enough as a 'joint gift' toe ach other? We're on a tight budget.

i think so! if both of you agree that money is tight, a nice weekend away together would allow both of you to enjoy each other - what anniversaries should be all about!

A think a shore weekend would be awesomenice, and perhaps maybe a tiny something from things remembered? Just a little something

Hold off on that... Make it yourself. I have loved those forever since I saw them in Uncommon Goods, but they are so expensive. I made it myself. It was super easy. Google the letters in your name and get a long photo frame... presto it's done. I found the letters on google, put them in word, emailed it to staples and had them enlarge to an 11 x 17 and framed it with a border around. It's just as great... That would be a great idea for you Jen since your crafty. As for my anniversary, we are going back to where were married and staying the night. We are going to book their 'romance package' really to get the late check out and breakfast in bed =). I say the Jersey shore is good since it's budget friendly and it's a gift to eachother.

I did this as a final project in my photography class...
SO EASY TO DO
(I had to develop them myself though)
but the shooting part was simple...

I love the photo idea b/c its easy to do and cost friendly, but if you can swing it I'd do the short trip too! nothing like getting away even for just a long weekend to celebrate!! then you can give him your gift too!

we didnt exchange gifts and i dont regret it! we went to ac for the day, spent a night and we jsut recently booked a trip to jamaica. we did do cards though- an absolute must!!

I think it's perfect.. DH and I were going to go away, but we didn't have the money this year, so I paid for part of his trip to Bali to surf and he bought me a new dress watch..

Jenn, I wish that I could be of more help, but I am fresh out of ideas. I do like the idea of going away for a long weekend. If you do that you could always take plenty of pictures on your weekend away and then do the photo thing as a remberance gift for Christmas.

we're not exchanging gifts - just cards.
we're going for a couples massage and then out to dinner and as a surprise i'm having the top tier of our cake recreated....
we're going to put aside the money we would have spent on gifts in a little vacation fund!
