We saw a 2BR co-op in a really nice location of Bayside that we really liked. It's for sale by the owner, so no agents are involved. They told us that the place was reduced from 144,500 to 139,000, but it's still negotiable. I think they are showing it to a couple of other people this week, so I don't want to lose it to seomeone else. How much lower should we make an offer for? I'm really nervous about this!

Re: Need help with making an offer on a co-op
Nina.... sorry to hear! Isn't it frustrating? A friend of mine is just beginning to look now and she is so stressed out over this. This should be a fun moment in your life, not an agrivating one! Best of luck to the both of you!

Re: Need help with making an offer on a co-op
Just wanted to update you that the day after the offer didn't go through, we found a nicer coop in the same place and made an offer for the asking price immediately. The next day the owner accepted it. We're waiting to go into contract. We're paying $3000 more, but it's in better shape, the kitchen and bathroom and carpeting in the bedrooms are all brand new. I'm so excited! Thanks for your help!
