Need Ideas

My Nephew is turning 1 on May 20th! (cant believe it!!!!)
anyways i need ideas of what to get a 1 year old kid...

My brother texted me this morning and i guess they made a list of stuff that would be good so when people ask they can give them suggestions...
well he told me if i needed an idea what to get him, to get him a sesame street cd player for his play room.

so i checked online and its $14.99...umm i may be broke but um i do plan on spending more than 14.99!!

I wanna get something that he is going to love, obvi he is only 1 so i dont expect it to last forever but i kinda would like him to love it for a couple of years to come...

for christmas i got him this fire truck thing that lights up and my parents got him a mini powerwheels fire truck...

i was kinda thinking what about those thomas the train ride on that comes with the track???
we got Chris' nephew one of those for christmas when he was a little over a year and he used his all the time.

i plan on spending between $150-$200

any other suggestions would be great! thanks!

I think the Thomas the truck idea is great! I would do that!

But if you're thinking to get something else, maybe something that they can push around, because if he are not walking then he will soon and he will be all about walking!

i def think some kind of walker thing for him to cruise asround the house in or maybe even one of those indoor swings/bouncerds..my nephew loved that thing

or even one of those interactive mats that he can crawl on and it lights up

What about a quilt/blanket that can be personalized? I got one from pottery barn kids for my nephew, when he turned one, and he is now 3 and can not live without the thing. It is now his 'Big boy bed blanket'

I was going to throw out the idea of a savings bond. . I mean he won't enjoy that but DH and I give one to his nephew every year figuring he will need it for college, then something smaller that's fun. . .x-mas we just do fun things. . .

I mean he def won't enjoy it now but we like the idea of having it as a tradition and by the time he's 18 he'll have a little chunk of change

It is called the Cozy Coupe. We also got him a walker type toy that he can use in the house & it turns into a ride on toy!

Definitely get him things that he can be active with. At that age they are just starting to walk around and want to move!!!

Thats such a cute idea.... Just be careful that if you look at the seat his legs will be facing forward and not outward. Ive actually witnessed little pre schoolers with hip and gait issues because they spent so much time in the walkers that are not ergonomically correct
I love this idea though cause at 1 its all about exploring
