This is my absolute favorite for summer! I just brought it for my coworkers and everyone loved it.
Brown ground turkey and cook with taco seasoning according to directions on packet.
Spread cream cheese on the bottom of an aluminum pan.
Place taco meat on top of cream cheese
Spread shredded cheddar on top and bake until cheese is melted!
Serve with veggies or tostitos! SOOO good!

My mom makes these teriyaki meatballs which are really good and then these little mac and cheese bites! If you google either you'll come up with the recipe!
Bruschetta sounds like a good idea Guacamole and chips some raw veggies and dips
for sides I would go with: Potato Salad Pasta Salad Corn on the Cob Green Salad Cole Slaw

ok so i dont have a recipe but i am sure you can google and find one, but in hawaii we had this awesome potatoe &macaroni salad (like both combined).....it was sooo goood!

My mom always makes baked squash - its zuccini (Aunt Fanny's Baked Squash) the recipe is in the cookbook. When my college friends come every summer we make that when we BBQ and its a big hit.
Also I would consider doing Mac & Cheese

I make a cold tri-color farfalle salad with fresh mozz, roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, and oil and balsamic that always goes over really well.
