Need Ideas of Towns

DH and I both work in Nassau County (Garden City and Rockville Center) and we are looking to buy a house. We want something with more land and lower taxes and would like to go a little out east but don't want to go too far, especially having to drive on the LIE in the morning!

Does anybody have suggestions for some good towns that aren't too far but have good school districts and more land?

I'm not sure if Northport is too far for you, but the taxes are generally lower and the houses have more property. Really goos schools too. Could be worth checking out.
