Would you beleive that when I got home at 830 last nite, my hub was just getting to ck out the sites I sent him? Seems that the move his company just made is keeping him really busy and he just is squeezing in 10 -15 min to eat lunch.
So I guess my fuming on this page is helping me from going a bit crazy on him at home. THANK YOU!!!
Well, we shuffled through all the wininiers and the helicopter rides...seems like he ended up on the Mystic site.
I know that LEE and I think Eliz mentioned Mystic.
Any further recommendations as to where to stay, see, etc? (he referred to some of the B&BS as astying in someone elses home but on their schedule) ...so maybe a B&B that isn't so rigid..and not too expensive??? And a whirlpool would REALLY REALLY be GREAT!
thanks, in advance, for all your help ladies

Need more Mystic information
Phyl - we have always stayed at the Holiday Inn in Mystic, which doesn't sound very romantic, but it is a nice hotel...pool, across the street from shopping and the aquarium, etc. You can probably find it on the holiday inn web site. I've never stayed at a B&B but they always sounded nice. I'm SO glad he's into doing something and checking out some web sites! I would definitely spend some time walking around mystic seaport, checking out the museum, eating great seafood, etc. There are other things in the area I believe like wineries, shopping etc. Let me know if I can give you more info! I'm so excited for you!

Need more Mystic information
I stayed at this B&B just outside Mystic. I went there because they allowed us to bring our pet, and it is hard to find pet-friendly places. I recommended it to a friend who loved it so much they have gone back for 3 weekends in the past year. They let you come and go as you please. We were also able to visit the mansions in RI as a day trip from the B&B. It is called High Acres.

Have you considered
the Norwich Inn and Spa? Don't know if hubby is into the spa thing, but it is a beautiful, relaxing place with a little golf course, close to the Mohegan Sun casino and probably not too far from Mystic -- I think they have a web site...at least you can get massages!!

the Adams House
We stayed at the Adam's house in Mystic. It was nice, very close to town. The garden was beautiful, the breakfasts very good. It was quaint, but a little below my expectations to be honest. We stayed in the mini cottage and it didn't really do much for me. Just my opinion...

Mystic is great...
My husband and I are going this weekend as a matter of fact. We go quite frequently, sometimes even just for a day. It the first place we 'went away' together after dating for only 3 weeks.
We love it...I'm sure you will too

If you do go to Mystic, just to break up the trip a little you might want to take the ferry to Connecticut with the car...its a little more relaxing and just something different to do. We did it once on a whim after visiting some wineries on the N. Shore, we drove to Orient Point and took the ferry to Connecticut where we then drove to Foxwoods...something else to do...

Kitchen Little
If you decide on Mystic this is a MUST. YOu have to have breakfast at Kitchen Little. It is the cutest little place and the food is wonderful. You can sit outside or inside. I reccomend the outdoor seating if weather permits. You will love it.
