need name change assistance

I somehow never notebooked a thread on name changing! can someone post a reply with a thread link for me?

Also, I don't just want to change my last name, I am going to become FirstName MiddleName MaidenName MarriedName (yes, probably a 4 part name). I remember hearing that it is not as simple if you do something like this. Has anyone done it already?

The first thing you have to do is get your marriage certificate

Next you'll have to go to the SS office. the forms only have First, Middle and Last name so I'm not sure how it works for a 4th name unless you are hyphening (First Middle Maiden-Married OR First-Middle Maiden Married).

After you get your new SS card you can do your license and your job. Then the banks, CCs, etc.

Someone was saying on BHB that you can't make your Maiden name your middle name anymore. It's considered a total legal name change. Not just a name change due to marriage.

You may want to look into that before you try and do that.

that's what i did. i forget how i filled out my paperwork, i think on the SS form i entered two middle names, and they were fine w/ that. my ss card now has Tina Marie Maiden Married as my full name. however, my DL has just Tina M. Married because my full name didn't fit.
