need opinions / ideas

Other than 10/27 being MIL's day, its also our 6 month anniversary...

We'll be in Bethesda, Maryland for the weekend, attending a wedding on Saturday afternoon. I want to make the weekend somewhat special so I was thinking of having these things waiting at our hotel when we arrive:

-rose petals on our bed
-candles around
-chocolate, strawberries and champagne

how's that sound?

Our anniversary is Sunday. We arrive Friday night so it may be a nice treat after the long flight. Saturday afternoon is the wedding, I don't know what we'll be up to Saturday night. I was thinking a nice breakfast in the room on Sunday may be nice too.

any other/better suggestions?

Oh wow Lisa .. you are so romantic ... I think they are great ideas. Definitely the strawberries and champagne (don't forget your wedding night teddy :-)). Breakfast in bed on Sunday sounds wonderful too - maybe you can pre-arrange it!
