Okay, so next week we are heading to my in-laws to spend a few days over the Thanksgiving holiday with my DH's whole family. We decided to save some money, and not stay in a hotel, and instead stay at my MIL's house...(give me strength!)
Anyway, she's invited DH's whole family to come for a visit since no one has seen the baby since he was born. I am appreciative of this gesture, since it saves us numerous trips to various parts of Florida. Plus, she's making dinner for everyone, etc.
My question is - what can I bring her as a token gift to say thank you. Not anything big or expensive...just something that would make a nice presentation. (Anything alcoholic is out b/c they don't drink, and don't even serve wine in their home).
Suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

What about a goodie basket with fruit and other food with a big bow. Not exactly creative but very simple and as cheap or expensive as you want to be.
Where are they located? If they are far enough away from NY maybe they would appreciate a big basket of NY bagels and stuff.

How about that lovely picture of you, DH, and Baby in a beautiful 8x10 frame and maybe one of those Grandmothers books? I've seen them in a few better card stores, the g'ma writes all about her life on different headed pages and can eventually give it to the grandchild when they get older.

I'll second Sonicstef's suggestion = > I would get either a Tea/Coffee/Cookie/Jam basket or something fancy as a desert for Thanksgiving Dinner. Alternatively, you can frame a picture of the inlaws with the baby?

How about a cute grandma picture frame so she can frame a picture of that cute baby

Thanks for the ideas! Unfortunately, I've got many of them already covered...we are getting an 8x10 of the Christmas family shot for them, and we are also having an 8x10 made from the baby's christening (the in-laws w/the baby). I gave her the Grandma book for Mother's day, but I do like that idea!
Keep the suggestions coming!
I like the basket idea - but I don't know how I would carry it with us on the plane.

Why not have a nice arrangement of flowers delivered to them. This way you don't have to worry about traveling with it and they will have a nice arrangement for when the rest of the company comes by.
I like flowers and fruit and tea and biscuits and jam, something nice that they will definitely use. A card is always nice too. Bagels, Donuts, Italian cookies, cakes. A juniors cheesecake.
Have fun

I like the flower idea (the cornucopia is great)- you can send that in advance and maybe also have something to present upon arrival. A box of gourmet chocolates perhaps? (are you familiar with Joseph Schmidt? they have amazing thanksgiving designs)
I love that arrangement. Very festive. We tried to send something similar to DH parents last year but the flower shop in Nantucket didn't have the cornucopia basket so you might want to check in advance that the store you will be getting the arrangement from will have that.

I LOVE the arrangement, how appropriate for Thanksgiving! Maybe as a dessert item you can think about Cheesecake Factory - they deliver too! I did it once, it arrived in perfect condition. They have a good sampler cake. www.thecheesecakefactory.com

I'll be sending this one instead (more reasonable cost)...and I can get 25% off a cheesecake sampler which I can send to MY family, who we won't be sharing the day with.
I might possibly bring a box of chocolates to my in-laws also, as Lisa suggested. But, DH will probably say it's not necessary. We'll see...
