OK this is such a long story-- my NY license is still in my maiden name--with my old address(no on has lived there in a few years-family I mean)
I was going to get a NJ license with new name--now it is too late-- the reason it is too late-- we are going on a cruise May 1st and of course the cruise/plane tickets are in my new name--
we only need a birth certificate for the places we are going so my question is can i travel with my old license, marriage certificate and birth certificate(all originals)
I thoought about getting a passport--but am not sure that will be done in time either--Ideally I want to someone to say I can travel with the above documents..does anyone have any idea?

Ask your travel agent. They should know the answer to your question. Or call the cruiseline. Otherwise, another thought is to have your tickets reissued with your name hyphenated. But definitely make the calls first before dealing with changing your documents.

Bring a copy of your marriage license, along with your license, birth certificate, etc., because that has both your maiden name and married name on it! Lucky you, I wish I was going away!!! Have a good time!
