Need some menu suggestions

What are some of your favorite holiday appetizers, drinks, cookies, and other desserts?

We are hosting two separate Christmasses...one for DH's parents who won't be here for Christmas, actual Christmas with like 10 people...and then I need to make some things to bring to my Mom's cousin's Christmas Eve bash.

And we're hosting New Years Eve...but I'll deal with that one next week.

ETA: Also, what is a good chicken dish for Christmas? Nothing with marinara or tomato sauce though.

Re: Need some menu suggestions

Love cocktail weenies, baked brie, veggies&dip/hummus....oooooohhh I have a crowd pleaser but its more of a thanksgiving/superbowl party kinda thing - buffalo chicken dip (recipe on Franks Red Hot website), shrimp cocktail!

If you wanna cheat just a little trader joes has amazing frozen apps as well as awesome dips!

What about stuff chicken breasts? you can find recipes for like cranberry&cornbread stuffing or feta and spinach?

I AM SO HUNGRY RIGHT NOW....

Re: Need some menu suggestions

I usually do simple stuff - a good stuffed mushroom, a spinach dip or mini meatballs... Or even a nice cheese board with some fruit..

Try a chicken Franchese or Lemon chicken... simple, easy and delicious!

Re: Need some menu suggestions

I recently made Ebelskivers and everyone loved them - they are filled pancakes and you can do them sweet or savory. So far I've only done sweet with nutella inside and strawberry jam, but tomorrow we are having friends over and I am doing mushroom and pancetta! You need a special pan, but there are so many varieties they are delish and impressive looking!
