Need some prayers - work related

Just got an email from the president of my company - they are laying off. I've been concerned before but now that I know they are definitely laying off - I am very concerned. Please keep me in your prayers!!! We have hardly any $$ saved and this would be very, very bad for me (what layoff isn't, right?).

nothing yet but I've gone on 2 interviews, both went well...one in particular went very well this past Saturday. They would like to set up a second interview so I am awaiting a call back. I'm going to 'touch base' with them tomorrow if I don't hear anything today.

Thanks everyone. I only worked at one other company that had layoffs, and they didn't tell people before hand. I know that doing so gives people a bit of a chance to prepare - but not really because you don't know WHO'S getting laid off - but I think I preferred NOT KNOWING it was happening until that morning - you didn't have any time to stress over it! I wasn't laid off there, though. This kinda stinks, not knowing who's getting the boot. I work in a very small office - and my co. is a small one (2 people, me and the VP), owned by the bigger co -- I can just IMAGINE what is happening over at the main HQ. They are probably all going crazy, worrying about who's on the chopping block.

Jenn, I'll keep you in my prayers, but you will be okay regardless! You guys will find a way to make it work, don't worry!

that stinks...just hold in there.

i was at my company and went through a loooooot of layoffs in 5 years and it finally came around to my position. its never easy to deal with...seeing people you work with leave or being the one laid off. i would start saving as much as u can now...just in case!
