DH wants to plan a little getaway to an island somehwere. But he is thinking sometime in August which is the start of hurricane season. Any suggestions for where to go? We went to Aruba for our HM last Sept. But we would like try someplace new.

If you're worried about hurricanes but want the islands, there are always Hawaii and the Greek isles.
But if you want to take a chance, I love, love, love Grand Cayman.

Thanks for the suggestions. I would love to go to Barcelona or the greek isles. But this is just going to be like a 4 day little trip so we don't want to spend the whole time traveling.
I personally don't even want to go anywhere. i rather try to save the money so we can work on getting a house.

Given that it will be hurricane season, I suggest you wait and then book a last minute trip based on the weather. You can usually get pretty good deals by booking last minute too.

i agree! just set the days aside and book it the week before - you will get a great rate during that season, and most hurricane weather reports are predicted a week in advance.
