Need your expertise.....

I am making these for a friends shower (90 people) ...anyone know of a good font to use? any suggestion of what type of glue is best?

I am printing it onto colored paper....

Not sure about the font - but my friend made me a sample of something similar and she used labels for the name tags - no glue needed.

and then just leave the backing on? do they make labels in colors?

I'd definitely do a fun, whimsical, easy to read font. Check out the font list that Stef posted, those sites have a ton of fun fonts. If you used a label in a color, it could be long and thin and then you could wrap it around the stick of the umbrella and stick the ends to each other, no glue involved.

I would just used colored paper and cut into strips and glue.

I have a font in mind that sort of looks like bamboo texture but I cant remember the name. I'll check for you tonight.

mickey-My friend just used regular labels - like for file folders - and stuck them to themselves around the toothpick - if that makes sense.

I am not sure if the make them in color - but you can probably print a color background??
