Need your input.....
so this is kinda long but i will shorted as best i can....
I was sort of let go from my old position, July of 08...the company was sold and to save money they wanted to cut me back from 5 days a week to only 2, something i could not afford to do....
so i found a new job about a month later Aug 08, and i am still currently there.....
i was never thrilled about either job, but anyway, my old job called me to ask if i could help out and work a couple days a week, with my current job i have 2 days off so i have been working old job tues and thurs for the past month,
yest the old job offered me a full time position
so my dilemma is both jobs have good and bad, pros and cons.....these are the highlights...
current job is mon wed fri all day 9:15am to 7:30pm with lunch break, and saturday am 9:15am to about 12:30pm, but i have been later sometimes....it pays well but i am an independent contractor, so my paycheck is great but i have to pay an accountant to help me do my own payroll and set aside money to pay taxes, the job is kinda high stress as i manage 1 of our offices and all its problems come to me, my boss is nice but can be a total arse sometimes, and i know first hand he bad mouths me saying i do things wrong, when i do things as he showed me and he never tells me when he changes protocol. i also have to do marketing stuff which is good for us to get us busy but i dont get paid directly for this time, but i do get monthly bonuses if our numbers go up as compared to the previous month....
my newly offered position is mon to fri 11am to 8pm, there is no set lunch break but whens its slow i can basically do what i want, it pays about the same but at a w2 so take home is slightly more than what i get now and i dont have to worry about the taxes, no bonuses....the office manager there is great at her job and is a good friend of mine since i last worked there, she and the boss handle all the marketing, and most of the problems so overall it is a less stressful job, physically though its a busier office and longer days
i have been going back and forth with this all night and i know the old job will want an answer soon......
any outside insight will be much appreciated....
