ok i work for a bunch of doctors....and i invited them all to my wedding...at work i call them (example) Dr. Stein....bc its professional and in front of patients its polite.....so what should i write in thank you card bc i have to include the wife .....i checked the cards they gave me and they all signed (example) Bob & Jenny Stein so do i write their first names....i feel like its so formal to call them Dr. Bob Stein and jenny or Mr. and Mrs. Stein.....im very friendly with them and have even hung out at work happy hour with most of them...so is it ok to put BoB & Jenny???????

Re: need your opinion
since you address them daily as 'Dr.,' then I would addres the cards as : 'Dear Dr. and Mrs. Stein, Thank you for your generous gift.............. Fondly, Joanna and Jeff'
You are their subbordinate; they can sign however they want; but you should address them by title if that is how you usually address them.
And, when in doubt, its better to heir on the side of formality.

Since you usually call him 'Dr. Stein' then I think just write 'Dr. & Mrs. Stein' on the thank you. I don't think it really matters either way.

I think its proper to use Dr & Mrs. no matter how close you are to them, boss or not.
