thread got pulled just as i wrote this but i wanted to back up LIW a little bit by saying..
i wrote a very negative review about FBB... gave them a D in fact.. and it was NEVER pulled nor did i receive any warning or comments from LIW about it. i just wrote what happened without inserting my commentary or opinions and added pictures to back it up. the review has been up for over a year ... so you CAN write negative things about vendors!
on the other hand... i wrote a GOOD review about one vendor and received an email threatening legal action (from the vendor, not LIW)... but that's another story that obviously i can't get into without being sued!

I know seriously... I don't think people realize there is a difference about writing a negative review and bashing someone..
people can bash vendors VERY EASILY b/c they are p'od about something.
sorry but sometimes the customer is not always right.
i trust the TPTB

i think in the end...this site can't be perfect and isn't going to please everyone. for the most part i think its well organized---but hey--sometimes there are gonna be issues that don't get resolved or resolve in a way that is gonna make some people unhappy. it happens.
i think liw was 100% in what they did today and i them many times over.
does this mean i won't be annoyed by something TPTB do in the future on here or LIF? nope--not at all!

that's too funny about the good review!! some vendors can act strangely I guess. I wrote some negative comments in my review as well for just 1 vendor, but I tried to keep it factual- its still there.......although that vendor is not an LIW vendor, regardless, I doubt they would dispute what I wrote as I kept to the facts.

Its funny b/c i wrote a negative review about my DOC when i posted my wedding review and wrote both the good things and bad things he/she did, i then recieved an FM the next day from Client Services that this company contacted them, and threatened to sue if my review wasnt removed. I think it also all depends on the whether the particular vendor contacts LIW or not to be honest.

agreed. this has so much to do with whether or not someone is asked to remove a post. it is all about if the vendor happens to see it or not (or if they are made aware of it by someone else).

I'm not sure about the other sites & their moderating ...
But I think the way the site is run is what keeps most Brides & Vendors happy. For the most part, I think they are pretty fair.

So I totally missed the negative review, but this really confirms that why I don't want to write one! I also used FBB and would probably get my review pulled if I gave them a grade.

read my review.........there are a few vendors I used that are vendors on here that I didnt review A+++++ one in particular burned me bad, it wasnt pulled b/c I didnt let my emotions get the best of me.
Some will stay and some wont, I think there are certain things that are said and the way they are written that can be taken a totally different way and probably can cause a law suit. Its all in the wording

It's interesting.....this is the same debate newspapers and tv stations have when there is bad news about an advertiser. However this is more like a pennysaver, I don't think journalistic ethics apply.

The idea that you supposedly can't post negative reviews on LIW came up in conversation on a different thread that was pulled.
