Negotiations at the dry cleaner

Negotiations at the dry cleaner

Ok so DH goes to the dry cleaner a lot. Not THAT much...like he doesn't wear suit and tie or anything like that. However he thinks that the dry cleaner should throw him a bone every once in awhile - like a pair of pants for free or whatever. I disagree and told him they just don't do that! But DH said its very competive and there are like 10 dry cleaners withing a 1/2 mile radius and that this guy should try and keep his current customers. I still think DH is nuts what about you girls?

(On a side not this dry cleaner annoys the sh+t out of me though - he is sooo annoying)

I don't know I never thought of that. DH usually goes with his dress shirts once every two weeks but with a ton of shirts. I never thought to ask but I'm sure it couldn't hurt. The worst they could say is no.

hehe. Well my DH seems to think that since we give WALMART so much business, they should throw in a free carton of milk every once in a while I told him that I don't think it works that way and if he attempts it, they'll have him arrested for stealing. lol.

I think it's the same with your DH's dry cleaners. It's a good idea, but I just don't think it works that way. Did he ever ask them? Cause I'm sure they'd say no.

I totally agree with DH!!!!!!!!!! Personally, I am a loyal customer and feel that as such I should be rewarded I am serious though for example...if I go to a restaurant a few times (and it is mom and pop owned) I expect a free glass of wine (usually drink wine when we eat out)...most neighborhood places do this...dry cleaners should follow suit...also my nail lady will throw in a shoulder massage here and there without charging...stuff like that makes you feel appreciated and I think you end up spending MORE $$! Maybe me and your DH are both just crazy

I agree with your DH. Airlines and cc have points and frequent flier miles, lots of places have those cards to save you $$...does your dry cleaner ever have sales or specials? I go to One Price and they email a coupon every month. Otherwise I'd go elsewhere
