Question for those of you who were married in a Catholic Church - I just received my 'new baptismal' certificate and even though I was baptized, made communion and confirmed in the same church, they do not have my communion on the back of the certificate.
Do you think I will have a prblem with my wedding if my communion is not listed?

Re: New Baptismal Certificate
I'm not a newleywed yet...but FH just went through the same exact thing. They told him all they needed was his baptismal information.
If you're really not sure, call the rectory...but I think you're ok!

Re: New Baptismal Certificate
If you were baptised at the church, they should have all your records on file. My church did. Hubby needed a new baptismal cert. So we had to call California(where he was born, and baptised) They sent it, and it was fine. It had to be dated no earlier than 6 months to the wedding.

Re: New Baptismal Certificate
My FH's was the same as yours, we gave it to the priest already for our wedding, there was no problem, they can always call the church where you made it if need be

Not to worry..they are really just making sure that it doesn't have a previous marriage listed on it

Re: New Baptismal Certificate
thanks everyone - sounds like it will be no big deal. It just frustrated me since I made my communion there too and they SHOULD have had a record of it. I'll be sure to give it to my priest early enough in case they need to check. Thanks!
