No Nubride I don't like it. I know all new things are confusing but this is ridiculous. Funny how it looks alot like that 'other' bride board. I stopped going there because it wsa too confusing.

Kate that's funny you said that, I am on all these pregnancy website now (we are trying to have a baby) and I only stick with one website because it looked like the old L.I.Weddings website.

Well I've been surfing around for a few minutes now and starting to get more familiar. Its just such a drastic change. When you're here for so long you get used where things are, how they work, etc... One thing I like is that you don't have to open all of the replies to read them. But on the other hand if you log out and come back, you can't quickly see what you've already read because the old board posts changed color when you opned them so you could quickly scan down the board to new posts.

I agree with you that it's nice to be able to read all the replies together, but I also miss being able to see the new replies and postings at a glance. We seem to have lost that benefit, and if we have to click on each posting to see if there are new replies, then what have we really gained.
It's also really hard on the eyes - too much junk surrounding each reply, with the time, the date, the name, the number of replies and all the buttons and boxes and bars.... I liked the cleaner look of the other site.
I also find that I don't go back to sites that have this type of format very much. LI Weddings is the only one that I really went to regularly during the planning, and definately the only one I've stayed with.
It will be interesting to see if my interest level drops off because of the new format...

I left and then came back and when I did there was a red NEW next to this subject because you had placed a new reply. So it seems that they notify you if theres a new reply, but you have to read through them to the bottom to find the ones you haven't read.
Also weird.... I use a public computer most of the time but I still have the site bookmarked and have always been able to come back without logging in. Now I have to log in everytime!!

Hi Guys!
Did anyone have a problem getting back to the original board after posting? I keep hitting 'back' and I feel like I'm stuck in the same post!!! I also had a problem logging in yesterday. It is more confusing and it's a lot like some of the other wedding boards. I do like the fact that you can see everyone's post instead of opening each one. But like Kate said, it's a pain to go all the way to the bottom -- maybe they should put the newest one on top and the first post on the bottom?

Well it seems as though LIW must be 'listening' to our gripes cause every time I come back there is a new feature!! LOL This time not only did the subject indicate you had posted since I left but when I opened up the message your post had a NEW POST in red with yellow highlighting! We're getting there
